This is a product that has been receiving a lot of attention within the last few months. It may peak the interest of some, while others can't wrap their heads around the idea of being so excited for a washcloth. Well, let me tell you something about this bad ass little invention: It may look like a gimmick, it may seem like another fancy "oh isn't that cute let me use it for a week and then shove it in a drawer" type of product. No sir, this thing is my new best friend. Once you try it, you will seriously wonder how you have lived your life without it. This thing will make the task of removing your makeup as easy as pie.
First of all, how cute is it that it comes in a box styled to look like a Pink Pearl eraser? Adorable! The product itself doesn't seem like much at first though. It is a small pink cloth, shaped almost like a large band aid. Strange, but okay! I was going over customer reviews at work, and one that I found particularly entertaining was a customer who urged others to save their money by going to Joanne's and purchasing "snuggle fabric". I'm not entirely sure what that is, but it sounds like something from a rave to me. And I completely disagree!
Once you really examine it, you will notice that it is actually double sided. One side has shorter fibers, almost like microfiber, while the other has longer and softer fibers. This isn't some soft baby's blanket material, though it may feel like it. I don't know what it is made of exactly, I'm sure they will never tell. But the way my skin feels after is like I just exfoliated the hell out of my face. Not in a bad way, but in a fresh, dead skin free way!
So now imagine you've just come home from a long day of work, or even a night out on the town. All you want to do is throw yourself onto your bed, and not move for the rest of the night (or week, if you're like me). As you make your way to the bed, you pass your bathroom and momentarily stop to debate whether you have the energy to actually wash your makeup off. You know that if you don't, you're skin is going to be a greasy mess and your eyemakeup is going to fuse your lashes together as you sleep. You'll wake up feeling crusty and oily, and that is no way to start the day! But the sweet allure of sleep is beckoning, and you just don't want to deal with the removers, cleansers, and everything else needed to get off what you spent hours making sure wouldn't budge! Exhaustion wins, and you resign yourself to waking up looking like Nosferatu. If only there were an easier way.
Oh wait, how silly of me! You could resolve this quickly and easily with a Makeup Eraser in your arsenal of beauty products!
Step 1) Run your Makeup Eraser under warm water, and wring out any excess
Step 2) Using the damp cloth, on the "microfiber" side, gently buff all of your makeup off. Seriously. No cleanseres needed, just simply wipe even your waterproof eyeliner and mascara away.
Step 3) Use the other side to polish your skin, picking up any left over product and leaving a smooth, clean surface behind
Step 4) Just make sure you moisturize well after use, and voila!
Don't believe me? Well, I was certainly feeling the above mentioned torment the other day! After a long day of work, as well as a stint at the gym, I was certainly in no mood to deal with the whole process. Though I was not in heavy makeup, I was still wearing waterproof mascara and liner. As you can see from the images below, I look terrible after the gym. But you can also see that these products came off in a breeze! I removed half of my makeup, to show the difference it made just using the ME and water.
There are many, more impressive reviews out there. I've seen girls with fully contoured faces, wearing makeup that you could remove with a chisel wipe it away with this thing. So do yourself a favor, and don't hold off any longer. Any makeup enthusiast will be glad to have this at their disposal. And all of you sensitive skin having ladies will enjoy the break from the harsh makeup removers!
